1. Who we are

ReSold (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at resold.online and provides accounting and analytics tools for resellers. ReSold is operated from the United Kingdom.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the service:

• Account data: email address and password (passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text).
• Marketplace data: when you connect your eBay or other marketplace accounts, we access your sales, fees, orders, payouts and listings via official APIs. We do not access your password for those accounts.
• Cost-of-goods data: information you choose to enter, such as what you paid for items you sell.
• Usage data: standard server logs, page views and feature usage, used to operate and improve the service.
• Payment data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide the ReSold service to you — calculate profit, generate reports, sync marketplace data.
• Communicate with you about your account (confirmations, password resets, important changes).
• Improve the product by understanding how it's used in aggregate.
• Comply with our legal obligations (e.g. accounting records, fraud prevention).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your individual sales data with anyone outside the service providers below.

4. Aggregated insights

ReSold may use anonymised, aggregated data (such as average sell-through rates by brand or category) to provide insights to all users. This data is fully anonymised and cannot be linked back to you or your account. If you do not want your data included in aggregated insights, you can opt out in your account settings.

5. Who we share your data with

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate ReSold:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Stripe — payment processing (if applicable).
• eBay and other marketplaces — we connect to these only with your authorisation, to read data on your behalf.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and processes data under appropriate legal safeguards.

6. Your rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict how we use your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

7. How long we keep data

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g. tax or accounting law may require retention of transaction records).

8. Security

We take security seriously. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Marketplace tokens (such as eBay refresh tokens) are encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS across the entire service. Despite our efforts, no system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and operate the service. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or via the service. Continued use of ReSold after changes means you accept the updated policy.
